dayHarvest is a one man company established by its owner, (Gerrit Middag), to regulate and balance out his voluntary & professional work during retirement.

Gerrit comes from the cycling world. Worked for a long time at the KNWU, (Koninklijke Nederlansche Wileren Unie) as a sports manager, after which he started working in 1997 at the international cycling union UCI. There, for over a period of 10 Years, he professionalized the events owned by the UCI and commercialized the UCI events department. 

By 2007 he decided to switch to Brussels and start working for the  IPCT GIE. This organization of  International Professional Cycling Teams was a so called GIE of the 20 ProTour teams, (Groupement avec Interets Economique) and which gathered all commercial rights of the Teams and their 500 Pro riders. 

In 2008 he returned -shortly- back to the KNWU as technical director and was responsible to set up a new “top sport strategy” policy in view of the 2012 London Olympics. But “Switzerland was attracting too much” and returned back to the UCI in 2009 where he was asked in a new position as Director of Marketing and Events for another 5 Years. 

End of 2014 he became business development manager at Shimano Europe and returned to NL. In this role was the project manager for the transition of the S-EU group from Nunspeet to the High Tech Campus in Eindhoven and realization of the new HQ.  After completion of the HQ, this was followed by being the project manager for creating & realizing the Shimano Experience center in Valkenburg. Took retirement by the end of 2020.
